The Honourable Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Muhammed, on June 14, 2022, inaugurated the Planning Committee of Nigeria’s hosting of the inaugural United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) Global Conference on ‘Linking Tourism, Culture and the Creative Industries: Pathways to Recovery and Inclusive Development. The global event will take place at the National Theatre Complex, Iganmu, Lagos, from Nov. 14th to 16th, 2022.

Every avid Nigerian traveller or globetrotter has one time or the other been referred to as Ajala by their friends, families or acquaintances. Most even use the designation in their pseudo names; names like Ajalabug, Wondering Ajala, Ajalaman, The travelling Ajala. This vocabulary that has become so familiar and part of the Nigerian travel lingua still has little or less known about the origin of its name.

NCAC Launches Drive-in Cultural Show in Jos

Nigeria cultural tourism community witnessed its first successful count down to a post covid 19 new normal engagement with a drive- in artistic experience, held at the open grounds of Sheraton hotels, Abuja on Sunday.

The event, shoveled with very tight security, social distancing and a must wear mask protocols, ushered in selected car owners strategically connected to a special program frequency for sound, dedicated pavilions and over forty visitors convenience.
