FTAN Establishes Nigerian Tourism Awards

President of federation of Tourism Associations of Nigeria FTAN Mr. Nkereuwem Onung has formally inaugurated! a 6 - man team to steer the affairs of the Federation in FCT zone for the next two years.

The President who described the FCT Zonal Council as very strategic to FTAN said he believed that the Zonal Council will help to strengthen the existing relationship between FTAN and the Government especially Federal Ministry of Information and Culture and the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA).

NTIFE 2019 Seek Tourism Development Legislative Framework for Nigeria

The Federation of Tourism Associations of Nigeria (FTAN) recently announced the hosting of NTIFE - the Federation’s annual flagship tourism conference and exhibition.

NTIFE is an acronym for Nigeria Tourism Investors Forum and Exhibition; the event started in 2014. The fifth edition of NTIFE is scheduled to hold on the 19th and 20th of November 2019, at the prestigious Transcorp Hilton Hotel in Abuja; Nigeria's Federal Capital Territory.

ANJET Seminar: Stakeholders Task Nigeria Government on Tourism Development

Stakeholders and operators of Nigerian tourism sector have charged governmet at all levels in the country to focus more the tourism in order to achieve accelerated development of the country as the oil wealthia fast dwindling.

The call was made by them yesterday in Lagos during tourism seminar organised by the Association of Nigerian Journaliats and Writers of Yoirism (ANJET). The Olota of Otta, Ogun State, who was the royal father of the, Oba Adeyemi Obalanlege, took the lead in making the call when heurged the government and Nigerians to explore tourism potential for job creation.

FTAN 22nd Annual General Meeting Holds in Abuja July 2019

The Federation of Tourism Associations of Nigeria (FTAN) recently announced the dates and activities scheduled for their 22nd Annual General Meeting in Abuja. This year’s Annual General Meeting is also an elective AGM, when new Executive Board Members of the national tourism Federation would be elected and sworn-in, on the same day.

FTAN is the official umbrella group for all tourism related private sector operators in Nigeria. The organization was formed over 20 years ago and presently has over 23 member associations including destination organisations, leisure resorts, hoteliers & restaurateurs, training providers, tour operators, travel agents, car rentals, creative arts, dancers guild, the academia, travel media, and et cetera.

Jos Carnival Heralds Peace and Tourism on the Plateau

The third edition of the prestigious Jos Carnival held on the clement weathered city from Saturday April 20th to Monday April 22nd 2019. The carnival lived up to the expectations of participants who travelled from different States around Nigeria to have fun on the Plateau.
